Urban Island is an outdoor pool conceived around the idea of "an island of rest in the heart of the city."
From the heated main pool and kids' pool to a jacuzzi and cabanas for the ultimate in relaxation, and a rooftop steeped in the atmosphere of Namsan, it offers a fresh and varied experience with every season.

Guidelines

Operating Policies
  • Urban Island is an outdoor pool exclusively for Shilla Fitness Club members and hotel guests.
  • An additional admission fee applies for guests who have not purchased a package that includes Urban Island access.
  • Urban Island and the indoor pool are each operated independently.
Safety Rules
  • Please warm up thoroughly before entering the water.
  • Diving is prohibited.
  • Guests under 140 cm in height must wear a life jacket and may use the pool when accompanied by a guardian.
  • Entry is restricted under the following conditions.
    - If there is a suspected risk to public hygiene, such as eye infections, skin conditions, or other communicable diseases
    - If you have an allergy to pool disinfectants
    - If you have consumed excessive amounts of alcohol
    - If weather conditions have deteriorated due to rain, typhoon, cold snap, or similar conditions
  • Sharp or breakable items such as metal, plastic, or glass objects are not permitted in the pool area.
  • Pregnant guests and the elderly are advised to take care not to overexert themselves.
  • Please cooperate fully with the guidance of lifeguards and staff so that everyone may enjoy the facilities safely.
Other Guidelines

Photography

  • Photography for commercial purposes may be restricted.
  • Excessive photography that inconveniences other guests may be stopped by lifeguards or staff.
  • Underwater photography, photography inside changing rooms, and live internet broadcasting are prohibited.
  • Conduct deemed to infringe upon the portrait rights of other guests may be subject to legal action.

Attire

  • Swimsuit rentals are not available. Please bring your own swimsuit.
  • A swimsuit must be worn when entering the water.
  • Children under the age of 36 months may use the pool when wearing a swimsuit and a waterproof diaper.
  • Please remove earrings, hair pins, rings, and other items that could injure other guests before entering the water.
  • Guests with tattoos are asked to cover them with a rash guard or similar garment.

Pool Equipment

  • Only tubes of up to 1 meter in diameter and beach balls may be brought in. (Tubes may be used in the kids' pool only.)
  • Snorkeling gear, fins, underwater propellers, water guns, and similar items may not be brought in.
  • Infant neck tubes are restricted from use in all pools for safety reasons.
  • Guests under 140 cm in height must wear a life jacket. Children's life jackets are available free of charge.

Food & Beverages

  • Please refrain from bringing in outside food and beverages.
  • Food and beverage orders must be placed at least 1 hour before closing time or the start of maintenance. (Spicy Noodle Soup with Abalone and Beef Brisket are available for order between 12:30 and 18:00.)
  • If you have an allergy to any specific ingredient, please inform a staff member when ordering.

Etiquette

  • Please shower before entering the pool.
  • If you have applied tanning products such as suntan oil, please rinse off before using the pool.
  • Guests aged 4 years (48 months) and over may not enter the shower rooms or changing rooms of the opposite sex.
  • Out of consideration for others, please refrain from speaking loudly or engaging in behavior that may cause discomfort to other guests.
